SHCCNJ to Honor Alberto Garofalo, President of Bank of America New Jersey, as 2025 Latino Trailblazer of the Year 

The Statewide Hispanic Chamber of Commerce of New Jersey will honor Alberto Garofalo, president of Bank of America New Jersey, as its 2025 Latino Trailblazer of the Year at the SHCCNJ Annual Awards Gala. 

Garofalo has built a leadership career anchored in service, integrity and opportunity creation. His work has advanced financial mobility, strengthened local partnerships, and expanded access to education and workforce pathways throughout New Jersey. Grounded in his Cuban heritage, he continues to champion initiatives that uplift families, celebrate culture and create inclusive avenues for economic growth. His support of the Celia Cruz Centennial Project reflects that same belief in honoring legacy while investing in the future. 

For nearly four decades, SHCCNJ has served as the voice of 150,000 Latino-owned businesses, which contribute an estimated $127 billion to New Jersey’s GDP. The Chamber’s mission to equip entrepreneurs and advocate for business owners aligns with Garofalo’s commitment to breaking down barriers and strengthening the state’s economic ecosystem. 

The Annual Awards Gala brings together leaders from New Jersey’s business, academic and government sectors to recognize progress, innovation and community impact.
