Board Member Dr. Melissa Baralt Attends Bill Signing in Trenton 

Our board member, Dr. Melissa Baralt, founder and president of Bee Better Than Me, was in attendance in Trenton as Governor Mikie Sherrill signed a package of legislation focused on strengthening public safety, protecting personal privacy and reinforcing trust across New Jersey’s communities. 

The legislation includes measures requiring greater transparency and identification from law enforcement during operations, limiting the unnecessary collection of personal data by government and health care entities, and codifying the state’s Immigrant Trust Directive to ensure local law enforcement remains focused on public safety while fostering stronger relationships with the communities they serve. 

Dr. Baralt’s presence reflects a continued commitment to advocacy, leadership and ensuring that community voices remain part of important policy conversations shaping New Jersey’s future.
