Applications, Communications, Mathematics and Measurement.
Newark, NJ. The Statewide Hispanic Chamber of Commerce of New Jersey (SHCCNJ) announced today that it is offering a training program for employees that work in New Jersey. Whether in a small business or a large corporation, employees have the opportunity to receive free training in English as a Second Language, Computer Applications, Communications, Mathematics or Measurements.
The Training Program was developed by SHCCNJ in association with Workforce Solutions of America (WSA), the New Jersey Department of Labor and Workforce Development (LWD) and NJ Community College Consortium (NJCCC). Employees can be trained in any of the areas mentioned. Courses can take place at any of the State’s 63 community college locations, or at any employer’s facility.
“This free training is available to any New Jersey company that needs training for new employees or even upgrading the skills of current employees”, explained Dr. Daniel H. Jara, President and

Companies that are members of SHCCNJ or members of any other New Jersey based Chamber of Commerce are automatically eligible to participate in the new program.
“If you are not a member of a Chamber of Commerce, call us to check your eligibility. There is no charge to employers for the training, however, employees must be paid at their usual hourly
rate during the training sessions”, explained Jara.
Employees can take classes in:
- English as a Second Language
- Computer Applications( Windows, Excel, Outlook, Word and Internet)
- Communications (verbal & written)
- Mathematics and Measurement
“Only through training can one get better job opportunities and better informed employees”, said Jara in a call to all businesses and individuals to take advantage of this important training program.
