The Statewide Hispanic Chamber of Commerce of New Jersey and our partners are committed to providing information and resources that deliver immediate value for your business and the impact of your community.

One of the most significant opportunities to support Newark’s neighborhoods is the Neighborhood Revitalization Tax Credit (NRTC) program, which will be the focus of an upcoming webinar for current and prospective funders.

No Additional Cost

The NRTC program, administered by the New Jersey Department of Community Affairs, allows qualifying New Jersey businesses to direct 100 percent of their state tax liability toward community development projects in Newark’s neighborhoods without increasing your overall tax payment.

Businesses can choose which approved projects to support, strengthening Newark neighborhoods such as Lincoln Park, Upper Clinton Hill, Fairmount and West-Central Village. The program offers expanded visibility, deeper civic partnerships and a meaningful way to keep your tax dollars working in the communities you care about.

Why This Matters Now

Newark has historically received a lower share of NRTC dollars compared with other parts of the state, despite the strength and readiness of its nonprofit leaders. Increasing participation from funders, especially those connected to SHCCNJ, is essential to closing that gap and expanding local investment.
