Partner Spotlight: LISC New Jersey Reports $35.5 Million Invested Statewide in 2025 

The Statewide Hispanic Chamber of Commerce of New Jersey (SHCCNJ) is pleased to share LISC New Jersey’s 2025 Year in Review, highlighting another year of investment in New Jersey’s communities, entrepreneurs and economic development. In 2025, LISC New Jersey invested $35.5 million, leveraged $133 million statewide, supported 57 community partners, and helped create or preserve 163 affordable homes and apartments. 

As a valued partner, SHCCNJ has collaborated with LISC New Jersey to expand opportunities for small businesses across the state. Earlier this year, SHCCNJ joined LISC New Jersey and Invest Newark to launch Ready, Set, Goal!, a four-part business training series designed to help Newark entrepreneurs prepare for the economic opportunities surrounding this summer’s global soccer tournament. 

Among the report’s highlights, LISC New Jersey’s Small Business Continuum to Collective Capital Access (SBC3A) brings together more than 20 business development organizations to strengthen technical assistance, capital access and entrepreneur training statewide. The organization also expanded community impact through its HUD Section 4 program and resident leadership initiatives that equip local organizations and neighborhood leaders with funding, resources and networks to drive lasting change. 

“In 2025, LISC New Jersey demonstrated that meaningful progress is driven by the strength of local communities,” said Jorge Cruz, Executive Director. “By supporting people, investing in neighborhoods and expanding opportunities, we helped on-the-ground community-based partners, local leaders and residents shape their own path forward, channeling resources into healthier, more resilient futures.” 

As LISC New Jersey celebrates its 40th anniversary in 2026, the organization continues to build on a legacy of impact. Since 1986, it has invested more than $400 million, leveraging over $822 million to advance affordable housing, small-business development, and wealth-building initiatives throughout New Jersey. LISC New Jersey was also selected to lead the strategic housing component of the Paterson One Square Mile initiative, a collaborative effort to expand housing opportunities and strengthen neighborhoods.
