SHCCNJ Technical Educational Programs are business education and mentorship initiatives designed to help entrepreneurs and small business owners start, strengthen, and grow their businesses through practical training, coaching, and access to resources.

The programs are ideal for entrepreneurs, small business owners, startups, and growth-stage companies seeking business education, mentorship, operational guidance, access to capital, networking opportunities, and market expansion support.

Many SHCCNJ technical and educational programs are provided at no cost to participants through support from public and private partners.

Yes. SHCCNJ places a strong emphasis on bilingual and culturally appropriate business education and mentorship services.

Current offerings include:

• Entrepreneurship Training Program (ETP)
• Level-Up Entrepreneurship Training Series (LETS)
• Bonding Readiness Program
• PSE&G Small Business Certification & Readiness Series
• Export-preneur Program

Topics may include business planning, market research, marketing, social media, accounting, forecasting, access to capital, procurement, certifications, legal structures, public speaking, staffing, pricing, exporting, and business growth strategies.

ETP is designed to help entrepreneurs develop sustainable businesses through business planning, operational training, expert instruction, and one-on-one mentoring. Participants receive guidance from experienced bilingual business professionals.

The Level-Up Entrepreneurship Training Series (LETS) focuses on leadership development, professional growth, coaching, and entrepreneurial advancement for business owners across a variety of industries.

The Bonding Readiness Program helps contractors improve their bonding capacity and competitiveness by covering financial management, projections, operational efficiency, marketing, construction law, certifications, and financing.

The PSE&G-sponsored series provides small businesses with certification readiness support, business education, and mentorship tailored to New Jersey businesses.

The Export-preneur Program helps businesses explore international markets by providing practical training on importing, exporting, and global business expansion strategies.

Yes. SHCCNJ programs connect participants with subject-matter experts and coaches who provide individualized guidance in areas such as finance, marketing, sales, operations, and business development.

An information session for the 2027 Technical Educational Programs is currently scheduled for October 14, 2026, at NJCU, providing prospective participants an opportunity to learn about available programs and application opportunities.

Key dates currently scheduled include:

• LETS Cohort: August 14 – October 23, 2026
• PSE&G Cohort 3: September 9 – September 23, 2026
• SHCCNJ Fall Bonding Cohort: October 21 – December 9, 2026
