SHCCNJ at the Table: Governor Sherrill Announces New Statewide Permitting Dashboard

Our President John Lucas joined Governor Mikie Sherrill in Trenton on April 30 for the announcement of a new statewide permitting dashboard, a cross-agency tool designed to make the permitting process more transparent, accountable and accessible for businesses across New Jersey.
The dashboard will allow applicants to track permit applications across state agencies in one place, with real-time status updates, target due dates, and next steps. An application period for projects to participate in the pilot phase opens this summer.

For Hispanic-owned businesses across New Jersey, permitting challenges have long led to delays in critical projects and higher construction costs, making it harder to compete and grow. SHCCNJ welcomed the announcement as a meaningful step toward a more equitable and efficient permitting experience for all businesses, including the Hispanic-owned businesses that are the backbone of New Jersey's communities and economy.
SHCCNJ looks forward to continued collaboration with the Sherrill Administration to ensure the pilot results in a process that is efficient, user-friendly and accessible for every business owner in New Jersey.
