Walmart Presents SHCCNJ with $5,000 Contribution  

“No idea is too small. We’re excited that we get to play a part in helping people grow their vision for what their business could become.” 

Jonathan M. Hernandez, Walmart Market Manager and Senior Director for South Jersey shared that message during an interview with the SHCCNJ at the reopening of Walmart Store 2254 in Hammonton, New Jersey, on Friday, July 24. 

Hernandez reflected on Walmart’s entrepreneurial roots, noting that founder Sam Walton began with a five-and-dime shop and grew that vision into the company we see today. 

“I think it just goes to show that any idea can turn into something impactful and meaningful,” Hernandez said. “No idea is too small.” 

During the celebration, Walmart presented the Statewide Hispanic Chamber of Commerce of New Jersey with a $5,000 contribution. 

“The Statewide Hispanic Chamber has been near and dear to our hearts here in South Jersey,” Hernandez said. “We’ve continued to support the work they do to help educate and support local entrepreneurs looking to grow their businesses.” 

Walmart has been a longstanding supporter of SHCCNJ and our mission, consistently sponsoring our Chamber’s Annual Awards Gala and supporting our Corporate Advisory Council Dinner, ETP, the Innovation HUB and the Pitch Competition.
