OFFICIAL EVENT: SHCCNJ Invites Members, Families and Soccer Fans to Union City Festival on June 13  

LYNDHURST, N.J. — The Statewide Hispanic Chamber of Commerce of New Jersey (SHCCNJ), in collaboration with Union City Mayor Brian P. Stack, the Board of Commissioners and Cedar Stars Academy, invites families, soccer fans and community members to the Union City Soccer Festival on Saturday, June 13, 2026, at the Union City Midtown Athletic Complex at Jose Marti STEM Academy. 

The festival will bring together families, soccer fans, small businesses and community leaders for a day celebrating the game, Latino culture and local pride as the region prepares for a historic summer of international soccer. 

“SHCCNJ is delighted to stand alongside Mayor Stack, the Board of Commissioners, and Cedar Stars Academy for the Union City Soccer Festival on June 13. Union City is one of the most densely populated cities in the country — home to families from virtually every Latin American nation. And how fitting that three of them — Brazil, Ecuador, and Panama — will be playing just minutes away at the Meadowlands this summer. We will come together as one big familia to celebrate the game, our culture, and each other. Every goal. Every bite," said President John Lucas.

Opening Ceremony: 11 a.m. 

Exhibition Soccer Games Begin: 11:30 a.m.

EVENT HIGHLIGHTS 

The festival will feature a soccer match between Union City Soccer Club and Cedar Stars Academy North, along with games and activities for all ages, including ping pong, cornhole, soccer tennis and basketball. Guests can also enjoy live DJ music, free hot dogs and water, and a welcoming community atmosphere for families, friends and fans ready to bring their team spirit.
